Scripture

I thought I'd share with you the next verse(s) on my list to remember(AKA fully know and have imbeded in my heart). Perhaps you all can remember them with me if you haven't already. My problem is that even when I know something is in the bible I can't always remember the reference to it. So some of these will be an easy one but I just haven't gotton the reference to it known yet. I have a tendency to use a couple different translation on occasion. I feel like I can truly get a grasp of what that particular verse is saying to me.

Romans 12:1 (King James Version)

Romans 12
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

I absolutly love the way The Message puts it. But for easier memorization we'll go with the KJV. Keep this tranlation in the back of your head as to its meaning.

Romans 12:1 (The Message)

Romans 12

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Since the KJV of Romans 12:1 is so small and I just KNOW we'll have that one memorized in no time flat. Lets do two!
How about...Romans12:15-16 ( I love Romans)

Romans 12:15-16 (New King James Version)
15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

What a great way to start the week! Have a blessed day!
